My Priesthood Line of Authority

I was ordained an Elder by Darren Todd Cole on 13 February, 2010.

Darren Todd Cole was ordained a High Priest by Loyal David Cole on 24 March, 2002.

Loyal David Cole was ordained a High Priest by Gordon Thomas Wilson on 14 February, 1987.

Gordon Thomas Wilson was ordained a High Priest by John Hal Marsden on 20 July, 1975.

John Hal Marsden was ordained a High Priest by LeGrand Richards on 16 September, 1956.

LeGrand Richards was ordained an Apostle by David O McKay on 10 April, 1952.

David O McKay was ordained an Apostle by Joseph F Smith on 9 April, 1906.

Joseph F Smith was ordained an Apostle by Brigham Young on 1 July, 1866.

Brigham Young was ordained an Apostle under the hands of the Three Witnesses: Oliver Cowdery, David Whitmer, and Frederick G Williams on 14 February, 1835.

The Three Witnesses (Oliver Cowdery, David Whitmer, and Martin Harris) were blessed by the laying on of hands of the First Presidency (Joseph Smith, Jr, Sidney Rigdon, and Frederick G Williams) as recorded in Doctrine and Covenants 18:37.

Joseph Smith and Oliver Cowdery received the Melchizedek Priesthood in 1829 from Peter, James, and John as recorded in Doctrine and Covenants 20:2-3 and in Doctrine and Covenants 27:12.

Peter, James, and John were chosen and ordained Apostles by the LORD Jesus Christ as recorded in John 15:16.

Introduction, Credentials, and Intent

Introduction My name is Brandon Cole. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I was born in Utah, grew up (among many other places) mainly in Indiana and Tennessee, and am currently back in Utah. I grew up in an active Latter-day Saint household and am grateful for the upbringing that was provided me. I have been happily-married to the love of my life since 2012. I attended Dixie State University from 2012 to 2015; after a hiatus, I have returned to Dixie State and am currently a part-time student. My current major is Spanish Language and Literature; I am planning on getting my Associate's degree in Spanish and then will hopefully transfer to Southern Utah University to get a Bachelor's degree in Aviation Science. Over the past few years, a user on Reddit's ExMormon community has been posting, deleting, and reposting the same thing over and over again. So I decided to take to my blog so that I can just repost a link containing my response any time I come across the same claims that pretend to be uncontested. "Did you know that prior to April of 1990 members used to pantomime in the Temple slitting their own throats and disemboweling themselves? "… "Did you know that members used to say[,] 'I suffer my life to be taken' if they broke the Covenant and obligation of Secrecy they were taking?"
